ELEMENTS is a seamless, 45-minute solo piano recital that layers a mix of pieces in a way that is reminiscent of deep listening to a record, but in live performance. Repertoire is inspired by the elements of nature (Earth, Water, Fire, Air, and Space/Spirit) and is “collaged” together by placing pieces next to each other (in some cases almost overlapping them) to curate a sonic experience that attempts to warp time, is uninterrupted by applause, and is completely influenced by the audience within a comfortable and intimate setting. Music composed by Max Richter, Frederic Chopin, Claude Debussy, Fazil Say, Maurice Ravel, Olafur Arnalds, and Alexander Scriabin.
